A roguelike with three mode: Solo, which allows a single character, Duo, which allows two characters, and Party, which allows up to four characters. Dungeons are generated to the difficulty based on the number of characters.

Description

Rogue Party features a very open-ended multi-classing system that allows players to mix-and-match between warrior skills, adventurer skills, prayer, magic and bard-like abilities. A crafting system based on spending "adventure points" allows further customization. Adventure points are rewarded upon completing successful missions into the various dungeons, crypts, ruins, caves, etc.

Features

  • Over 250 unique abilities divided between five base classes (warrior, adventurer, bard, cleric, mage). These classes are further divided by ability requirements. For example, Rage is required to choose other barbarian-like abilities while Phantom Blade opens up additional illusionist-style spells.
  • Priest abilities are bound by the character's choice of god.
  • The crafting system combines creating weapons, shields, armor, mage staffs, holy symbols and instruments with magical runes that can enhance their power. The most powerful items in the game are available through crafting.
  • Tactical combat takes into account the number of nearby allies and nearby enemies to determine bonuses to attack and defense.
  • Permadeath goes by Death's Door rules in parties with more than one character. Death's Door means a character is in a state of dying until they reach -10 hit points, at which point they are beyond recovery. Characters in Death's Door lose one hit point per round.
