Features
- Goblinhack is played in realtime, whereas most other roguelikes are played one turn at a time.
- A player can play as several classes, including modern or futuristic ones such as "soldier".
- The player and mobs are drawn using several characters in bright, flashing colors as opposed to single-character representations like "@".
- The terrain is entirely destructable, although some features may be more resilient than others.
