Overview

Land of Strangers (LoSt) is a Wild West/fantasy game in early development. It is open source, written in Python and packed for Windows and Linux. The game can be downloaded from the project's blog at http://agingminotaur.blogspot.de/

The current release (#9) features the skeleton of a game, including:

  • turnbased tactics on a hexagonal grid
  • context-sensitive, "intuitive" controls :P
  • randomized animal and plant species
  • seamless overworld
  • unusual rules for wounds, time/initiative, gunfighting, cover et al.
  • perks and skills
  • configurable
  • slowly expanding weird west-setting
  • more game planned for the next few releases
