Professional Adventurer's League is a lightweight, fast-paced roguelike in which the player is (unsurprisingly) a professional adventurer competing in the prestigious Yendor Cup. The player starts out unarmed and unarmored, and must find all the tools he needs to overcome the challenges he will face.

  • Friendly user interface, with explanatory help panels
  • Several level layouts and generators
  • Wide variety of items effects allow a number of different play styles
  • 27 different enemies, with a variety of behaviors, plus elite variants and unique minibosses
  • Automapping
  • A choice of sponsors, each of which provides a different bonus
  • Support for diagonal movement for keyboards without a numpad
  • Exploding goats
