Rook is a coffeebreak roguelike

Rook was written by Joshua Day during the 2011 7DRL Challenge. The player starts with two items, "The Orb of the Turk", which prevents accidental death, and "The Ring of Vulnerability", which makes all damage fatal. The interface indicates which moves are valid and, when the Turk is activated, which will result in death.

The Post-7DRL Version

Cleans up the message system, adds a few new features like restarting the game, dropping items, and getting to see what happens after you're in checkmate, and tweaks the sot AI to make them stupid in a more interesting way.
