Ruby bitfield

This code describes a Ruby bitfield, implemented using arrays (a large string might be faster, try it and see). The code is also available at http://snippets.dzone.com/posts/show/4234 but you have to remove the line numbers (a snippet site that doesn't actually let you copy the code, who would have thought?) This version adds a clear method.
