Proposed set of 'text tags' for marking type of game in lists, tables, etc.
Comments, suggested changes, etc. are welcome. PaulBlay
- I like the concept, I dislike the 'leetness' aspect, I'd rather see plain/normal fonts so its readable. The colours look fine to me, tho the defunct colour I think should be different than the wiki theme background (ie: anything but white.. maybe a brown or something.....) - I find them both garish and ugly. They might look better if they were closer in appearance. Rdanhenry 02:15, 5 April 2009 (CEST)
- I think they'd look better if they were all the same size (which was next on my list of things to try). They also look a bit better when they all line up (see Recently Updated Roguelikes). Template:Default's appearance was to give an impression of the concept in question. Not so much leet, as ghost/skeleton (hence the white). In any case I am 100% open to alternative colour / content schemes - but please show examples. PaulBlay
Here's a somewhat changed version. Alpha and beta are rather difficult to read without the bold, IMO. I like having them all the same size though. Normal and eratz defunct both included.

Alternative set of colours. Note that IMO it's getting hard to read black text against green that dark so I've put a version up with white text. PaulBlay
- These are better. I find the black more readable than the white against even the darker green. This may be a difference in our eyes or in our monitors. These are no longer ugly (except the attempt to spell 'defunct' in non-English lettering), but the first set is still garish. I would vote for the second set, using the grey-boxed version of "defunct" and black text for "stable". Actually, I think only the red is likely to work better with white text. - OK, the new colours are in. And here are white vs black on orange for consideration. I still think the black on green is pretty marginal for readability, but monitor differences could apply so I'll wait and see if there's any comments from anybody else. PaulBlay

- If anything the black on orange is marginally more readable than the black on green, so I might as well change that one. PaulBlay
